If you have been following our posts for some time, you realize that every year when the monsoons come to Pakistan, there is flooding. But this year the floods are of a magnitude unknown in earlier years. News sources are calling this season's floods the biggest in Pakistan's history.

And, for the Reach the Nations team in Punjab, the flood waters are hitting close to home. Irfan's motorbike was damaged driving through the flooded street, and at Mehboob's home the kitchen, washroom, and living room were flooded and many belongings and appliances were damaged. Abraham and Irfan also suffered floodwaters and damage in their homes. So our entire Punjab team is in the process of recovering what they can and cleaning up after this devastation.

The entire Sialkot area, including our church in Daska, has suffered similar damage. Roads are out or flooded. People cannot get to work, and for day laborers, each day's work is crucial.

In the province of Sindh, there is a barrage (a low dam) that is being breached and it is expected those flood waters will soon reach the Khairpur area where RTN's church is established with Rustam as its pastor. Other barrages upstream from Hyderabad likewise will be releasing water, so Shakeel and Shahzaib are bracing for floodwaters as well.

Please pray for our entire team: Shakeel, Shahzaib, Rustam, Mehboob, Irfan, Abraham, who are evangelizing, preaching, teaching, and planting churches; and Sister Rehana who is teaching the literacy class in Daska, as they recover from this flooding themselves and as they minister to those in their congregations who are likewise affected, many losing their already-few possessions.

If you desire to give a donation to help our team and these churches in their recovery from this destruction, you can donate online by clicking on the Support button on our website or you can mail a check to Reach the Nations Ministries, 10340 E. Rivershore Drive SE, Alto, MI 49302-9243.

Please label your gift "Flood Relief". Everything you give with this label will go directly to those affected by these floods. Nothing will be retained for RTN overhead or operations.

"The Lord reigns; he is robed in majesty; the Lord is robed; he has put on strength as his belt. Yes, the world is established; it shall never be moved. Your throne is established from of old; you are from everlasting.

"The floods have lifted up, O Lord, the floods

have lifted up their voice; the floods lift up their roaring. Mightier than the thunders of many waters, mightier than the waves of the sea, the Lord on high is mighty! "- Psalm 93:1-4
