The Reach the Nations' literacy program now has four sites. Three are in various areas of Islamabad and the fourth is in Daska. This past week, students from all four classes gathered at Prayer Tower Church to meet with Gary Finkbeiner and Peter Negron who were visiting from the U.S.

Not all of the students were able to come, but many did and Peter reports that they were very excited to show their reading ability. Peter said, "Their reading was impressive, and the meeting was very emotional. Our sister Zarish and her teaching staff have done a great job."

Brother Gary brought a word of encouragement to these students, and he preached a sermon titled “Beyond Slavery to Freedom.” Pastor Babar translated and the message was well received.

Gary and Babar (pastor of Prayer Tower Church and husband of Zarish, our literacy teacher) are shown enjoying a truly American lunch! We appreciate so much Pastor Babar and Zarish and relationship we have with them and their church as fellow workers in building God's Kingdom in Pakistan.

Also last week, the conference with the RTN pastoral team was concluded. Pictured here are Shahzaib, Irfan, Abraham, Mehboob, and Shakeel having breakfast in the hotel where they were staying for the conference. A lot of camaraderie is built over meals!

The focus of Gary's teaching for the conference was the Kingdom of God. The men have now traveled back to their homes in Sindh and Punjab. They left saying they had been taught well and greatly encouraged during their time together.
And he gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the shepherds and teachers to equip the saints for the work of ministry, for building up the body of Christ, - Ephesians 4:11-12
Please pray for this team as they continue their ministry of Gospel and as they train others as they are being trained themselves. The goal is to make disciples, just as Jesus commanded.
