A Time to Celebrate

There was an important gathering of believers in Punjab last week.

There were followers of Christ in several of the locations where Mehboob, Irfan, and Abraham minister who were ready to be baptized.

So the men found a place where a baptism service could be held and invited people from all the locations to gather for a time of baptism and celebration.

They baptized 20 new believers that day and celebrated afterwards with a meal before everyone returned to their own hometowns.

Mehboob comments as follows, "Families in this area are disturbed due to the recent heavy rain and devastating floods, but their faith is strong and they believe God will restore and rebuild them."

He also asks, "Please keep all the new believers in your prayers, especially for their spiritual growth."

". . . don’t you know that all of us who were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death? We were therefore buried with him through baptism into death in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life." - Romans 6:3-4
