Teaching the Word

With very few edits I added for clarification, this month's report is in Shakeel's words. In it you will get a sampling of the kinds of things he is teaching from God's Word at each village. Here's Shakeel:

"In this New Year The Lord has blessed us and given strength again to continue His work for His kingdom. We worshipped in three different areas which are our old places where we are establishing churches. On an earlier visit, the people in these villages had gone to other places for work in the cotton fields. But they are back home again and we could worship together."

Qandar Bux Burdari:

"We taught from Psalm 100. Praising God is a wonderful movement, but we should be praising Him in faith and believing that He is our creator and He is worthy of our praise. 'Shout for joy to the Lord, all the earth. Worship the Lord with gladness; come before him with joyful songs. Know that the Lord is God. It is he who made us, and we are his; we are his people, the sheep of his pasture. Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise; give thanks to him and praise his name. For the Lord is good and his love endures forever; his faithfulness continues through all generations.'"

Korki:

"After long time, we were able to revisit in this place and the people were happy and blessed through the Word of God. I taught them from the Story of Noah. God saved Noah’s family in the ark, but today we are saved by grace through faith in Jesus Christ. In Noah’s time, sin was on the earth, people were disobeying God, and worshipping different gods. But God spoke to Noah telling him to make an ark so he and his family could be safe when the storm comes. The message is today for us as well that God is speaking through his servants to repent from their sins and listen what God is saying."

Arab Solangi (meeting was held at our church building in Khairpur)

"I taught from John 15:1-5 As we are enter in a new year, what we have done is in the past and we have to do now what God wants in the beginning of this year. If we are not bearing fruits in our lives then what will happen with us? When we see a branch withh no fruit on it, then that branch is cast out from the tree. In the same way men will be cast out from God as well. If we are not abiding in Him then what will happen with us? If we still are not listening the Word of God and not praising Him, then what will happen? The answer is in the passage of John 15:1-5. Our life should be a fruitful life in Jesus Christ.""

Praise: Restroom work is Finished!

Our co-worker, Rustam, standing at the green door, led the work of construction of a bathroom facility for our church building and, after only a few weeks, the project is completed. We can only imagine how much more welcoming the church is to families now that there is an indoor bathroom. We are thankful to those who gave so materials could be purchased for this welcome addition!
