Faithful Preaching
Mehboob and his team ministered in and out of the rain during the month of July as they visited villages in the Sialkot area of the Province of Punjab.
Mehboob reports, "We are visiting these areas on a regular basis, and the people are very happy and thankful to God for our visits. They tell us that they are listening and understanding the Word of God and this is a blessing to us as well."
Bajle Mohallah
In this area, Mehboob preached about Faithful Friends. He says the people of Bajle Mohallah work as day laborers in the fields. Though they make very little money, he says they are thankful to God who continues to supply their basic needs.
Jandokay Goraya
Adnan preached in this village on the topic of encountering Jesus. Mehboob praises this small congregation for their eagerness to gather for prayer, worship, and learning from God's Word.
Bobakanwala
Obeying governments was the theme of Mehboob's message to the people of Bobakanwala. His text was Romans 13:1-5, and his sermon was based on a recent online study he engaged in with other brothers in Pakistan and with Reach the Nations leaders in the U.S.
Mehboob reports that there are only a few families living in this area, so they held prayer meetings in a house. After prayer, they worshipped and studied the Bible together.
Propenagara
In Propenagara, Irfan presented the story of Jesus feeding 4,000 people (and more) as told in Mark 8:1-8
This is also an area where people are very poor. Some of the men work in the kiln of the brick factory, and the pay is so low that they often can't afford proper food. So, in sharing the love of Christ with them, the Punjab team offered a meal at the end of the worship and prayer service.
Mehboob says, "Sometime when we feed them, we also share with them about how Jesus fed the poor and hungry people of his time. When they listen the miracles of Jesus Christ, they are very excited and thankful to God."
Banawala
This is Banawala Mohallah area where people are living in homes that are not close together. So, the Punjab team went through the village, visiting door-to-door and sharing the Word of God with the families one-by-one. The picture is not very clear, but you see both Adnan (left) and Mehboob (right) ministering to the family in this home.
"How then will they call on him in whom they have not believed? And how are they to believe in him of whom they have never heard? And how are they to hear without someone preaching? - Romans 10:14
