Baptizing Believers

Christian baptisms in the remote villages of Pakistan are big events. First they have to find a place to hold them - in this case an agricultural pool.

Then they have to help those who are being baptized, along with some of their family members who want to attend, get to the baptism site. In this case a partially-enclosed cart did the job.

Then the baptism of five new believers. Mehboob reports,"They are very excited about their new life in Jesus Christ. They have repented of their sins and come into relationship with Christ. They fulfilled God's words in their lives."

Afterwards, there was a celebration - including a meal. And, when they get back to their communities, each of them will be presented with a Bible of their own so they can continue to grow in their new-found faith in Christ

Yes, baptizing those who believe is exciting and worthy of celebration. We are rejoicing with our brothers and sisters in Pakistan over these who are now following the One who is the way, the truth, and the life for all who believe.

"Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.” - Matthew 28:19-20
