Going Deeper

The Pakistani teams in Punjab and Sindh are faithful in going out to preach and teach in various villages. As people come to faith or continue in their faith, there is a desire to go deeper into the things of God.

The Punjab team responded to that need by holding a teaching conference in DhamoKay.

Weather did not cooperate, bringing rain, then flooded roads. Then temperatures soared and added another difficulty. But, by evening, people made their way from surrounding villages and the conference went on as planned.

The pictures show people gathered inside the borrowed church building, but Mehboob reports there were many others listening outside as well.

The focus of the teaching of Mehboob, Irfan, and Adnan was Hebrews 12:2, "fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God."

At the end of the meeting, which included teaching, prayer, and worship, the team served a Pakistani dish called birayani, which is a mixture of rice, chicken, and what Mehboob describes as "other necessary ingredients."

Please pray for the Pakistani men who teach God's Word as they are being challenged to take their people into deeper relationship with God, living lives that honor him.

"But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and forever! Amen." - 2 Peter 3:18
