Substitute Teacher

We want to congratulate Zarish, our literacy teacher, on the birth of a beautiful baby girl. This daughter, Abigail, joins the family of Zarish and Babar, and their two sons.

So what happens when a teacher needs time off? A substitute steps in. In this case, Zarish's husband, Babar, who is the pastor of the church where the literacy class meets, agreed to teach the class until Zarish can return.

This is a big commitment because the class meets three evenings a week for two hours in each session. So we are grateful to Pastor Babar for his willingness to ensure that the women who are learning to read, write, and do basic math are able to continue their studies without pause.

Please pray for these students, for Pastor Babar, and for Zarish as she regains strength and soon returns to her teaching role.
