Meeting Immediate Needs
As they continually assess the needs of Pakistanis in Punjab villages, Mehboob and his team met these three children who have no parents. They are on their own and, in the time of virus sequestering, had run out of options for finding anything to eat. Mehboob and Adnan told them that their heavenly Father was caring for them by sending food through Reach the Nations.
And you may remember us telling you about the hawkers last month: men who purchase fruit and then go through the market calling out to people to buy an orange or an apple from them. It is subsistence living, but was making enough to buy for food for their families. With the coronavirus on the rise, people in the market shy away from hawkers in fear of contagion, so their income source has vanished. This is the second month RTN has been able to provide food for this hawker. He expressed his gratefulness for this unexpected and much-needed provision.
"Answer me when I call to you, my righteous God. Give me relief from my distress; have mercy on me and hear my prayer." - Psalm 4:1
