Shakeel and Rustam visited four villages in the Hyderabad area last weekend. They were pleased to find that those who had migrated to harvest fields over the past several week have now returned and were hungry to hear the Word of God and to fellowship with others of like mind. What follows is a summary of teaching and building relationships in the four villages

Korki:

Luke 12:13-21 The Parable of the Rich Fool.

From Shakeel: "This meeting went very well. I preached about trusting only in God while living life, because this life is from God and He has the control. We need hand over to Him whatever plans we have and stay connected with Him in all the things, in all the blessings, in all our earnings. Whether we are rich or poor, only God has control on our lives. It's important to have salvation and be in the Kingdom of God by grace of God."

Shakeel also reports that, even after many meetings in Korki, the women remained sequestered in a separate room almost as if they were hiding from him....

Gary Finkbeiner and Peter Negron report that God's leading was evident in the many meetings they had while ministering in Pakistan these past weeks.

Both Gary and Peter preached at several churches in the greater Islamabad area. One of those was Living Branch Church where Gary spoke to a crowd of nearly 700 people and has an ongoing invitation to preach and teach God's Word whenever he can be in the Rawalpindi area.

Both Gary and Peter taught students at Living Branch Bible College, affiliated with Living Branch Church, and at the Great Commission Institute, a cooperative effort of several Pakistani denominations.

Both had an opportunity to minister at a gathering at St. Thomas Church of 300 pastors and wives of the United Christian Fellowship and, as we have already reported to have a full day of meetings with RTN evangelists and church planters: Manzoor, Shakeel, Mehboob, Adnon, and Irfan.

The challenge before us, Gary says, is not only preaching and teaching the Word of God, but helping...

Gary Finkbeiner and Peter Negron have returned to the U.S after more than two weeks of ministering in Pakistan.

A highlight of the trip was a day-long meeting with our on-the-ground team in Pakistan. This picture (left to right) shows Adnon, Mehboob, Irfan, Peter, Manzoor, Shakeel, and Gary.

Adnon, Irfan, and Mehboob are working in villages in Punjab while Shakeel continues the work among Hindus in Sindh. Manzoor is the General Secretary/Administrator of the Reach the Nations Pakistan team.

The meeting was held at Manzoor’s home in Islamabad and included discussion of RTN’s newly adopted Philosophy of Mission and Vision as well as Job Descriptions for each position on the team.

Fellowship, teaching, and team building worked together to make the day an encouragement to all the men involved.

Thank you for your prayers for this trip. It was apparent to Gary, Peter, and others that God was directing their steps and opening hearts. We are thankful. Now, please continue to pray for those who are...

Gary Finkbeiner and Peter Negron continue to minister in the Islamabad/Rawalpindi area. Today Gary preached at Living Branch Church and one of the members sent photos. I thought I would share a few with you:

Meanwhile, a few hours away in Sahiwal, another Reach the Nations team member, Warren Van Kampen, continues his work and ministry at Christian Hospital Sahiwal.

Keep these men and the people of Pakistan in your prayers - for effectiveness of ministry, for wisdom in relationships, for safety and security. and for the name of God to be glorified in every encounter.
