The RTN team arrived in Pakistan very early Friday morning and have spent the last few days in worship services, preaching, ministering through prayer for those with particular needs, and visiting villages in the Punjab province.
We are Gary Finkbeiner, Executive Director of Reach the Nations Ministries; Peter Negron, Chicago pastor and, for the past year, leader of relief teams to Puerto Rico; Warren Van Kampen, ophthalmologist; and Beverly Van Kampen, author/teacher.
The following pictures will help you see the people of Pakistan and our efforts to learn, encourage, and support during these days.
Above you see Pakistani worshippers from Islamabad and a photo of Pastor Peter preaching at the same service.
Below is a picture of Pastor Gary preaching at Christ Church in Rawalpindi. His translator is Rashid Masih, a priest in the church and son of our associate Manzoor Masih. Second photo below shows a village where we visited a ministry yesterday.

One of the challenges they faced was a sick baby - in need of medical care, but, during this time of harvest, too far away to get the needed help. Shakeel prayed for the baby and encouraged the parents. Please continue to pray that they will see God's hand of blessing in their life in restoring this little one to health.
Shakeel reports that the cotton harvest will be completed in the next ten to fifteen days, so soon the families will be back in their villages and the usual church services in the b...

Please pray for this team as they all spend the first week in Islamabad, exploring new service opportunities in the Punjab area; meeting with Manzoor and Rashid who represent RTN in that area; interviewing candidates for the Covenant Leadership Training Institute (CLTI); and teaching and encouraging pastors and Christian leaders.
Then Gary will travel to Karachi and will meet up with Mike Hayden of CLTI. He and Mike will minister together teaching and preaching in churches and engaging in Christian leadership training. Peter will continue his teaching/preaching ministry in Islamabad with Manzoor and Rashid.
The Van Kampens will travel from Islamabad to Sahiwal Christian Hospital where Warren, a retired ophthalmologist, will work with the eye clinic recently established there an...
